A FriendRaiser is a fundraiser, Philadelphia-style. In 2020 and 2021, I helped Hope Partnership for Education, a nonprofit running a middle school and adult education center, build websites in support of their online efforts to raise scholarship funds for the young and at-risk students they serve.
In both instances, the websites offered information about the FriendRaisers, were companions to GiveSmart silent auction sites and served as places where people could watch the online live charity auction events as they were streamed online, thanks to code embedded on the websites’ front pages.
