WordPress Playground: a fun way to learn WordPress

Stephanie O'Hanley

WordPress Playground came up yesterday during the monthly iThemes Training Plugin Roundup.

It’s a way to play with WordPress in the browser. You can build a theme, build an entire site and test a plugin.

Developers on Macs can even connect the playground with Visual Studio Code.

If you’ve never worked with the block editor before, it’s an excellent introduction. No worries about making mistakes or breaking your site. Everything you do is private, in your own browser.

To use this new WordPress sandbox, visit playground.wordpress.net
